On Saturday 16 September took place the Cumbre del Sol’s Summer Party, an event organized by the La Cumbre Volunteer Firefighters, and the neighbor associations A.V.I.B. and Vecinos Cooperando, among others. The party took place in the Volunteer Firefighters headquarters in Cumbre del Sol, where attendees enjoyed an evening with barbecue, homemade cakes, drinks and live music. Grupo VAPF collaborated with this good cause bringing a fancy dress photocall in which all the proceeds obtained were aimed to fund the La Cumbre Fire Department. Last August, Javea’s Tennis Club celebrated its Social Tournament, in which the Grupo VAPF collaborated as a special sponsor, financing both part of the tournament and the prizes awarded to the winners of all categories. Last Sunday 27 August we had the opportunity to witness the 9thstage of the Vuelta Ciclista (Spanish Cycling Tour) 2017, with finish line in  Cumbre del Sol, in a day in which we had a great time and we could see Cumbre del Sol full of cycling fans enjoying along the two areas where the race ran through, especially the second and final one (Puig de laLlorença), where the finish line was located. Cumbre del Sol is ready to receive the Vuelta Ciclista España (Spanish Cycling Tour) on Sunday 27 August. As you all know, the ninth stage of the Vuelta runs through the province of Alicante, departing from Orihuela at 12:00 h. and finishing at Cumbre del Sol - Puig de la Llorença (Poble Nou de Benitatxell) at 17:00 h.; a unique opportunity to see the best cyclists on the international scene in action. Also in Poble Nou de Benitatxell- Cumbre del Sol we are fortunate enough to enjoy the most important race of the national panorama in two occasions, since on the stage will run through two different places in town: a first one on the way from Teulada and Gata de Gorgos, and a second uphill to Puig de la Llorença summit. For this reason, traffic will be detoured after 13:30 h. and until the end of the event, so it is important for the neighbors to know that they will not be able to leave or access the Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol during the race time. The Tennis Club Jávea is organizing its Social Tournament 2017 from 14 to 26 of August, and Grupo VAPF will be the sponsors and will hand over the first prize.
