Racó de Galeno: when architecture meets nature
19.06.2022
Unlike most cities and municipal districts, the Costa Blanca Norte horizon is framed by a unique coastline with seemingly endless kilometres of beaches, sandy coves and countryside to discover. In the heart of this natural paradise, close to the town of Benissa, you’ll find Racó de Galeno. A group of villas where the blue of the sea contrasts with the greenest surroundings, and it will be love at first sight. Today we’d like to tell you about VAPF’s Neva and Lena villas. Two projects which are a perfect example of how it’s possible to create homes that adapt to and respect the environment, where living amidst nature is a true luxury. Villa Neva: a blend of wood, concrete and stone These three components combine in perfect architectural harmony. Nature permeates this 947m2 home through its huge plate glass windows which visually duplicate the space, with the Mediterranean light as its biggest ally, and they manage to achieve a seamless combination of indoors and outdoors. If the villa is impressive at first glance, you will be doubly captivated when you stop to take in the numerous details everywhere in the house interior with its decorative wall coverings and panelling that create a different ambience in every room. Not to mention the lighting that brings heat and comfort in equal measure, and the rooms with ceilings at double height that give a sense of greater space … And what could be better than to connect nature and the interior architecture with the glass walls that join the porch and the sitting room? Villa Lena: for nature lovers In an ideal location, where every day you can enjoy views of the Peñón de Ifach and the Mediterranean Sea, you can find Villa Lena. A villa designed with a very specific public in mind, namely nature lovers. Lena has a modern design and clean lines, however, there is no question that what marks it out in terms of aesthetics and functionality is its carefully considered distribution. The villa is arranged in such a way that it emphasises the connection between indoors and outdoors through the distribution of the concealed glass windows that create spaces filled with light enhancing their enjoyment. The interior is distributed in two wings, one with three double bedrooms (all with en suite bathrooms) and the other part with rooms for communal use, a large kitchen, living room dining room and guest W.C. What do they have in common? Both villas blend with the environment as they have been designed and constructed mainly from wood and stone. Furthermore, their enormous windows and glass walls serve as a balcony that looks out onto the Mediterranean, as from both Villa Neva and Villa Lena, you can enjoy the best views of the sea and of Peñón de Ifach. It’s the nearest thing to living in a picture postcard. The proximity of natural beauty spots such as the beaches of la Fustera, Cala Baladrar and Cala de la Llobella, is also something to take into account if you are thinking of living in Racó de Galeno. Visit, and enjoy them all along the three kilometres of the Benissa Ecology Trail. Although Villa Neva and Villa Lena are surrounded by nature, nevertheless they are not isolated, but really well communicated with Calpe and Benissa, and in just a few minutes you can be in the centre of either town, and enjoy another side of the Costa Blanca: its urban areas with an enviable array of entertainment, culture and cuisine. Can you actually find a reason why it wouldn’t be worth starting a new life in one of these villas? Follow our upcoming articles where you can discover much about Cumbre del Sol’s surroundings.
