Blue Flags 2025: Excellence and Sustainability on the Beaches of the Marina Alta

news-main-image

In 2025, the Northern Costa Blanca reaffirms its commitment to environmental quality and sustainable tourism. The towns of Altea, Benitatxell, Teulada-Moraira, Calpe, and Benissa have been awarded Blue Flags—an international distinction recognizing excellence in the management of beaches and marinas.

Altea: Five awards that consolidate its leadership

Altea has received five Blue Flags this year. The beaches of Cap Blanc, La Roda, and El Bol were recognized for their environmental quality and public services. Additionally, the marinas CN Altea and Marina Greenwich were also distinguished, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to sustainability and tourism excellence.

Poble Nou de Benitatxell: Cala del Moraig retains its recognition

Poble Nou de Benitatxell maintains its Blue Flag at Cala del Moraig, a spot of great natural beauty and geological value. This distinction highlights the quality of its waters and the environmental management of the surrounding area.

Teulada-Moraira: A renewed commitment to quality

Teulada-Moraira revalidates the Blue Flags at El Portet and Les Platgetes beaches, as well as at the Moraira Yacht Club. These awards reflect the municipality’s continued efforts to offer safe, accessible, and environmentally respectful beaches.

Calpe: Three beaches that shine in their own light

Calpe once again renews its Blue Flags for the beaches of Arenal-Bol, La Fossa, and Cantal Roig. These sandy beaches stand out for their water quality, safety, and services provided to bathers, consolidating Calpe as a leading destination on the Costa Blanca.

Benissa: Sustainability and environmental education

Benissa keeps its Blue Flags at Cala Baladrar, Playa de la Fustera, and the Les Bassetes Yacht Club. The town also stands out for its commitment to environmental education, maintaining the Blue Centre designation at the Aula del Mar and the Blue Trail recognition along the Ecological Walk.

Living by the bluest Mediterranean

These awards certify the quality of the waters and services of the Marina Alta, a unique destination where Grupo VAPF builds and promotes homes in some of the most privileged enclaves on the Northern Costa Blanca.

From exclusive villas in Sierra de Altea (Azure Altea Homes 2 and Blanc Altea Homes), to the luxury apartments of Allure in Calpe, and the residential developments like Montecala Gardens in Cumbre del Sol (Benitatxell) and the exclusive Jazmines Residential Area in Cumbre del Sol. Every VAPF project is strategically located near unique beaches and coves awarded the Blue Flag.

Living in these developments means enjoying a home with exceptional design, quality, and comfort, surrounded by nature that is internationally recognized for its excellence.
