Grupo VAPF, as a supporting partner of the Spanish Committee of UNHCR, has made an extraordinary financial contribution to support the response to the Syria emergency.
After more than 15 years of conflict in Syria, and despite the political transition that began in December 2024, the country remains highly unstable, facing one of the world’s largest humanitarian and displacement crises.
More than 12 million Syrians remain displaced, and those who have decided to return or are fleeing violence in Lebanon face a multitude of challenges: destroyed homes and infrastructure, damaged basic services, shortages of water and food, a lack of employment opportunities and a precarious security situation.
With winter approaching, people returning to Syria need support with accommodation and shelter.
Once again this year, Grupo VAPF is proud to support UNHCR so that it can provide essential supplies, assistance at border crossings and temporary accommodation for the most vulnerable families.
