At VAPF, we have once again collaborated with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation on a new Educational Project in Nepal.

Nepal remains one of the poorest countries in Asia, with 20% of its population living in poverty. It is estimated that around 777,000 children aged 5 to 12 are not enrolled in school, and 28% of the population under 18 suffers the consequences of child labor. Each year, more than 60,000 minors migrate with their families to work in brick factories, abandoning their schooling.

This educational precariousness deepens inequalities and perpetuates the cycle of poverty.

Thanks to VAPF’s support for this initiative, 384 migrant girls and boys aged 2 to 11 will be able to access free education during their stay in the brick factory areas where they migrate with their families for about six months a year to work in Nepal’s brick industry.

With these “Satellite Schools”, children are provided not only with quality education but also with a safe environment where they can grow and learn free from child labor.

Access to school supplies, uniforms, daily meals, and medical care at school significantly contributes to the overall well-being of these children.

At Grupo VAPF, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to receive quality education in a safe environment where they can learn, play, and develop fully, regardless of their background or situation.
