The ceasefire announced on October 9th in the Gaza Strip is a ray of hope for Palestinian boys and girls who have endured more than 700 days of terrible war, which is why it is essential that the agreement lasts.
At Grupo VAPF, we have once again decided to make a financial contribution to UNICEF Spain so they can continue providing vital assistance and essential services to these children through the delivery of more than 1,300 trucks filled with supplies, crucial to urgently meet the needs of families.
Two years of bombings and fighting have caused catastrophic devastation throughout the Gaza Strip: more than 64,000 children have been killed or injured with wounds that could affect them for life; homes, hospitals, and schools have been destroyed; famine, child malnutrition, and much more.
UNICEF has continued operating in the Gaza Strip throughout the two years of war and keeps providing vital assistance and essential services to children and their caregivers, but it is crucial to take advantage of this ceasefire to deliver urgently needed supplies and nutritional treatments to Gaza.
Because a child is a child, no matter where they are born, at Grupo VAPF we wanted, once again, to support UNICEF Spain in the fundamental defense of the rights of children in Gaza.
