New Collaboration between Grupo VAPF and SOS Children’s Villages
24.09.2025
Grupo VAPF has once again collaborated with the NGO SOS Children’s Villages in their Day Centres programme, which aims to promote the holistic development of children and young people who are in vulnerable situations and require support in their parental protection and educational needs.
The programme is targeted at children and their families who, being in situations of social risk or vulnerability, are referred by the various agencies in each autonomous community responsible for child protection and prevention.
Day Centres support families with fragile structures, limited financial resources (unemployment, lack of education), few opportunities for integration (language, professional qualifications, etc.) and minimal parenting tools; as well as children and adolescents facing precarious situations, including school absenteeism or failure, vulnerability at home, and high exposure to risk.
Through these programmes, a significant positive impact is made on the lives of children and their families, achieving, depending on their progress, a reduction or elimination of the risk situation, with the corresponding benefits for both their lives and society as a whole.
SOS Children’s Villages is an organisation with over 75 years of history, founded by Hermann Gmeiner in Austria in 1949, and is now present in 138 countries and territories.
Because “No child should grow up alone.”
