Last Sunday 30 August we had the opportunity to enjoy the 9th stage of the Tour of Spain in Cumbre del Sol, where we could see the area crowded with cycling supporters, especially during the second climb to Puig de la Llorença. (more…)

Bicisport Magazine is including an article about Cumbre del Sol in its No. 9 in occasion of the town’s appointment as the finish line of the 9th stage of the Tour of Spain 2015 to be held on 30 August.
At this stage, Cumbre del Sol development will be one of the protagonists as cyclists will pass through it twice, including the finish line. (more…)
Spanish Cycling Tour
The 70th edition of the Spanish Cycling Tour is already underway and the 9th stage will take place at Cumbre del Sol -Benitxell. The cycling tour will begin on 22 August 22 in Puerto Banus (Marbella) and will finish on 13 September in Madrid.
The tour will start with a team time trial of 7.4 kilometers, starting in Puerto Banus. From there, the tour will pass through Andalusia, (more…)
Paddle en Benitachell
Benitachell –along with the sponsorship of Grupo VAPF- is planning to add a paddle tennis court to the local sports facilities. Also the plans include the renovation of the existing paddle tennis court with artificial turf.
Building works already begun at the sports area of the Font, just by the fronton wall and paddle tennis court. (more…)
The talended pilot Óscar Climent, from Gandía
Last Sunday 6th November 2011, Óscar Climent, the 19-year-old talented pilot natural from Gandía, was invited to take part in the Moto GP2 World Championship held at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, Valencia. Climent was invited by the international federation, thanks to a wild card granted to pilots of the country where each race is held.
At this race, he was able to play shoulder to shoulder with the best Moto GP2 pilots in the world, riding a MIR motorcycle built in the Region of Valencia.
