Pedro Soliveres Cabrera (1933-2016), founder of VAPF Group, was born in Benissa (Alicante) as the oldest of four siblings. He grew up in a humble family and although luck did not give him the best health, it equipped him with ingenuity, insight, and initiative.

In 1963, he founded the company VAPF which quickly became a standout development company in the province, always following the motto that would accompany him throughout all aspects of his life: “If you have to do something, work hard and do it well; if not, don’t do it”. Pedro Soliveres Cabrera dedicated his heart and soul to his company, VAPF, in which he was Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The first urbanisation to be developed by VAPF was called El Serrano, and although this was not as luxurious as current developments, it did include the elements that set VAPF apart from other development companies from the very beginning, elements which allowed it to appeal to a more experienced and demanding foreign audience: timeless design, open-plan spaces, green areas, sports facilities such as tennis courts and horse-riding centres, and shopping centres with a wide range of services for the urbanisations.

After this first development came many other urbanisations: Maryvilla and Canuta in Calpe, Buenavista and Montemar in Benissa, Balcon al Mar and Tossal in Javea, Monteazul and Cumbre del Sol in Benitatxell…

Pedro Soliveres’ fighting spirit was passed on to his children, who took charge of the company. First, Pedro Javier Soliveres, current Managing Director of Grupo VAPF, when illness forced the founder to take a step back from the company and delegate responsibility, and later Bernardo Soliveres, current Financial Director of Grupo VAPF. They now direct the company together with a group of experienced, professional managers who are closely aligned with the corporate strategy.

During this 55-year history, Grupo VAPF has developed more than 15 urbanisations and built 8,000 properties, making it one of the most well-established real estate groups in the Alicante Province, focused on clients with high standards who are looking for an exclusive service and constant specialism and innovation.

From Bernardo Soliveres, CFO of Grupo VAPF:

“Our long journey has allowed us to overcome serious economic crises, from which we have always come out stronger, and allowed us, in times of greatest activity, to create a tremendous number of jobs and enhance our environment both economically and socially, always following the premise that effort and consistency are key to success”.
