Our magazine was first issued in 2017 and following the inevitable hiatus caused by the pandemic, we’re back again with more news and information than ever.
For more recent arrivals, and by way of a reminder for the neighbours who have been here for some time, we provide a recap of the wide range of services available at Cumbre del Sol: the Lady Elizabeth International School, Dreamsea Mediterranean glamping, La Cumbre restaurant, Pepe La Sal supermarket, Pure Wellness and Medical Center and Dr. Thomas Dobrucki to name just a few of them. This last service is in fact the subject of the next item in the magazine.
Doctor Dobrucki has been a resident of Cumbre del Sol since 2017 and he granted us a lovely interview in which he told us all about his personal life (what led him to choose Cumbre del Sol as his home) and his professional career (services available, languages spoken, treatments, experience…).
2022 is the first year that we have actually been able to feel free again, with life as it was pre-pandemic. And this is something that we really should celebrate! The events this year, namely Summer Party and the Belgian Fiesta were a huge success, meeting new people, reconnecting with friends and neighbours, forging friendships and above all, having a great time!
Not only that, but we also encourage a healthy life style and forming good habits and together with North Costa Blanca Pádel Club, we helped to organise the Summer Paddle Tournaments which were sponsored by VAPF.
One of the most special things about this edition of Cumbre del Sol magazine is that we have fulfilled the challenge that we set ourselves some time ago, which was to film a video showing the beauty of Costa Blanca Norte. From the charm of the area inland, the cuisine, and endless list of activities such as hiking, horse riding, water sports etc. In short, a reflection on the paradise we live in. Our video Life is your collection of moments will be presented shortly.
And of course! We had to provide a recap of the current status of our developments. In this issue we talk about one of the jewels in VAPF’s crown, Villa Veleta a villa in our Residencial Jazmines,. This individually designed villa is filled with light and the sea makes it presence felt throughout the house. There is also room to mention the Montecala Gardens apartments (Cumbre del Sol) and Golf Suites La Sella (Dénia). Two options for spacious, functional, and efficient apartments with an interior décor that has been carefully chosen and considered down to the last detail. Two developments with a wide range of services (communal areas, swimming pools etc) and in unique locations for making the most of Costa Blanca Norte 365 days of the year.
Grupo VAPF continues to expand, with 8 municipal districts currently hosting our future projects (Altea, Benissa, Teulada-Moraira, Lliber, Benitachell, Pedreguer, Dénia and Pego). This is unquestionably the start of a new stage of growth offering new locations and homes but without diverging from our main scenario of the Costa Blanca Norte.
As to our commitment to society, in 2021, the VAPF Group reinforced its activities of Corporate Social Responsibility in conjunction with several associations: UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, Save The Children, ACNUR, Fundación Vicente Ferrer… You can see what we have been doing in the RSC section of the VAPF website, and in the current issue of the magazine.
We also have some testimonials from our new VAPF clients and we mention how the Costa Blanca has become a national and international benchmark as a gastronomic destination thanks to the area’s 7 Michelin starred restaurants, not to mention 12 Repsol suns and the region’s fantastic local produce.

“It was time to come back to Europe. The question was where to”
Frank and Maggie had been living in the US for nearly 20 years. They had careers in America and their two children had grown up there. They had been happy living the “American dream” with good jobs an salaries too, but that phase was over. Now the difficulty was deciding where to go. “Frank likes the mountains and I love the sea nd warm climates. We need to look for something like that in Europe! That’s how it all started” Maggie tells us. “We had never been to Spain but we had friends who knew it and we thought that the Costa Blanca could be the perfect place to find that special mix. We came for a while on holiday to see what it was like and right away we knew. This was the place.
Frank has no doubts about the house buying process: ”They couldn’t have treated us better. The whole team was extremely professional and they took such care over the house down to the very last detail”. “We returned to the US while the house was being built and during that year, they kept us up to date with news and photos of the progress of the works and communications with VAPF. They were, and they also made sure we were, involved in the process”. This was very important to us.
“Quality and location. Everything is perfect”
Axel Wiktor and his family live in Cumbre del Sol. They value being able to live in an area with amazing natural charm and yet which is so close and with such good communication to important cities like Alicante and Valencia. “It isn’t a decision that you take in a hurry. You think will it go right?, or could it go the other way … Making such a big change is really difficult”. “But all our doubts were dispelled as soon as we saw the house. We had never seen anything like it”.
Axel’s wife also told us something that was key to them making their decision. The amount of things to do. “Here you can swim, you can go out to lunch or dinner, you can read, play sports… You have everything you need”. “The quality of materials in the apartment is special. It is really clear that a lot of effort and care has been put into it”.
“Before our visit was over we had already decided”
Those are the words of Wim and Marion Feijen, from the Netherlands. They had their first guided visit to discover Cumbre del Sol, and in the space of a few minutes, they know that this was the place.

Unlike most cities and municipal districts, the Costa Blanca Norte horizon is framed by a unique coastline with seemingly endless kilometres of beaches, sandy coves and countryside to discover. In the heart of this natural paradise, close to the town of Benissa, you’ll find Racó de Galeno.
