• Driving licence and own vehicle.
• Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Administration and the accounting team. They will be involved in the accounting and administrative processes of the Group companies and will receive training in our systems and procedures.

The scope of the role will be adapted to the candidate’s experience and the needs of the department. We are looking for both candidates with solid initial accounting experience and more experienced professionals who are able to take on responsibilities with a greater degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Record and review accounting transactions, checking the supporting documentation, the company to which they relate and their correct allocation.
• Perform bank reconciliations, review customer and supplier balances, and investigate discrepancies through to resolution.
• Assist with invoice reviews, collection follow-up and the preparation of payments in accordance with approval procedures.
• Support accounting close processes and prepare the information and supporting documentation required for review.
• Maintain organised documentation and keep track of tasks, deadlines and outstanding issues.
• Learn the Group’s ERP system and tools, and collaborate with other departments on reconciliations between operational management systems and accounting records.

Onboarding and Development

Tasks will be assigned progressively, with support from the Head of Administration. As the successful candidate becomes familiar with the Group companies and their processes, they will take ownership of complete tasks and gain greater autonomy in line with their capabilities and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics, a Higher Vocational Training qualification in Administration and Finance, or equivalent qualifications. The practical application of accounting knowledge will be particularly valued.

Experience

• Hands-on experience carrying out accounting duties in a company or accounting firm, including recording transactions, reviewing documentation and checking balances.
• Ability to explain the tasks personally performed and the level of autonomy with which they were carried out.
• Experience in reconciliations, accounting close processes, accounts receivable and payable management, or accounting for multiple companies will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in the real estate or construction sector will be valued.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of accounting entries and the impact of day-to-day transactions on the company’s accounts.
• Proficiency in Excel for filtering, checks, commonly used formulas and reviewing data lists.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems and a willingness to learn our systems.
• Ability to identify errors, document discrepancies and raise issues appropriately and with sound judgement.

• Common sense, responsibility and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills, consistency and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn and take on tasks with increasing autonomy.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with the team and other departments.
