VAPF Group, builder and developer of Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, is partnering with We Are Talent Events to sponsor the first professional sporting event in Spain during the COVID-19 crisis. Named the Region of Valencia Tennis Challenge, it will take place during the first weekend of June.
For the event to take place, VAPF has offered up its Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol sports facilities. Cumbre del Sol is an impressive natural enclave on the Mediterranean Sea where most of our large real estate offer is concentrated, thanks to the 3.7 million square metres of land located along the unspoilt coastline.
The Region of Valencia Tennis Challenge consists of bringing together four TOP-100 tennis players from the ATP circuit to play two matches a day in a round-robin format. Matches will be played as best-of-three sets and the third will be a tiebreaker if necessary. The event will begin onFriday, June 5 and end on Sunday, June 7. All matches will be held behind closed doors to ensure compliance with current safety regulations. In addition, players live in the area and all health requirements set by the government will be strictly adhered to.
The goal is to bring people together safely to enjoy the sport while also contributing to a good cause. Once the event is over, all donations and money raised through auctioning the player’s equipment will go towards helping Spanish victims of the coronavirus crisis. The event will also be environmentally friendly, so we can take care of the planet as well as those in need.
The event will be broadcast both nationally and internationally and will also be available worldwide on different streaming platforms. There will be live commentary in both Spanish and English and broadcasting will begin the moment the players step on the court until the moment they walk out. Pablo Carreño (No. 25 in the ATP rankings), who has four ATP singles titles and reached the top 10 after his performance at the 2017 US Open. Alex de Miñaur (No. 26 in the ATP rankings), who, at only 21, already has 3 ATP singles titles, awarding him the appropriate title of “Speed Demon.” Finally, Pablo Andujar (No. 53 in the ATP rankings), who was born in Valencia and has 4 ATP singles titles. Last year, for he reached the fourth round of a grand slam at the US Open for the first time.
It will be a thrill to watch these seasoned and famous professionals face each other, and knowing it’s for a good cause makes it even better!

Last Saturday, February 22nd, VAPF celebrated their agencies convention for the third consecutive year. This exclusive event brought together many real estate professionals who work alongside VAPF, with the objective of showing them all the latest developments and new locations planned for 2020.
More than 130 national and international guests gathered at the event, which was celebrated in the five-star Hotel Marriott La Sella in Denia, to spend the day that was divided into two parts.
The event commenced at the hotel, where guests were given their accreditation cards before being welcomed with breakfast. Afterward, everyone headed to the International Lady Elizabeth School for the workshop, which was introduced by the Marketing and Commercial Director, Vicente Mestre.
The newest developments planned for 2020 were presented at the workshop. The upcoming market launch of the Novamar Suites 2 and the new villa projects in the well-established and familiar Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol are worth highlighting. Other locations will also have new developments, such as Racó de Galeno in Benissa, Azure Altea Homes 2 and Blanc Altea Homes, both in Altea, and the La Sella Apartments in Denia.
Once the first half of the workshop was finished, the agents were able to walk around the school and tour Cumbre del Sol where they got to see some of the most recently built homes. Afterward, everyone returned to the Hotel Marriott La Sella, where the morning session came to a close with lunch.
The second part of the day started with a welcoming drink at the Gala Banquet Hall, where all the guests gathered before dinner. At dinner, the guests were entertained by a grand musical and acrobatic show. Vicente Mestre ended the evening by thanking all the agents for their attendance and starting the awards ceremony, with which VAPF aimed to reward the efforts of its agents. These were the winners:

At VAPF, we believe in promoting sports on the Costa Blanca and this year, we are proud to be one of the sponsors of the 1st Edition of the Colosos del Mediterraneo event! This will be a deep-sea fishing and recreational event, organized by the Moraira Yacht Club in collaboration with the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (I.E.O). It will take place in Moraira, from the 28th through the 1st of June. Note that it isn’t considered a competition, but instead an opportunity to join some of the best fisherman across the world and the biggest fish in the Mediterranean. The main idea is to give attendees the opportunity to enjoy recreational fishing as well as exchange their knowledge and experience with one another.
The Spanish Institute of Oceanography is collaborating with the organization of the event, which will follow a catch and release chumming model by boat anchoring or drifting. The event will kick off next Tuesday, May 28th, with a round of tuna fish marking, these fish being the main protagonists of the event.
The next day will begin with a reception for the attendees with registration and check-in, delivery of clothes and supply bags. Throughout the afternoon, they will be distributing labels and ID tags. At night, after a captains’ meeting, there will be a cocktail party for the participants. Thursday, May 30th, will be the official training day for attendees to practice chumming.
Friday and Saturday will be the most intensive days of the Colosos del Mediterraneo event. Everything will kick off those days at 6:00 in the morning, with breakfast and check-in. The boats will be out until about 17:30, at which time they will return to the Moraira marina. Once the two days of fishing wrap up, the panel will review the videos taken during those days and the scores. On Saturday, there will be a closing ceremony at 21:00, and everyone will partake in a special dinner. Trophies and prizes will also be presented at the dinner at the Club Restaurant.
