Here at VAPF, we believe that every little bit counts when it comes to helping the environment, which is why we carry out different activities to do our bit as a company.
Among the different activities we do to improve the environment, a few months ago we celebrated the Day of the Tree with pupils from the Lady Elizabeth school, planting a total of 100 pine trees in the green area close to Lirios Design, in Cumbre del Sol. This was done in a location of great ecological value, so carrying out an action of this type becomes an activity of vital importance for people’s lives, and has a positive influence on the planet.
For this reason, we are proud that here at VAPF we have obtained the 100% Green Energy Certificate, granted by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) and Feníe Energía S. A., which ensure that all the electricity we consume comes from 100% renewable energy.
The document we have received means that all the energy we use comes from renewable energy sources. This is a small gesture from VAPF as a group which, as well as being in line with the company’s philosophy, has a direct and positive influence on the environment.
Within our Corporate Social Responsibility programme, there are different strategic areas whose objective is to improve the socio-economic system in which we live and work, which is why one of our fundamental pillars is improving the environment.
How do we have a positive impact on the environment? We carry out different activities through which we aim to reduce our environmental impact, and support initiatives which share this objective.
As members of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact and the Foundation for the United Nations Global Compact, we support and adopt the ten basic principles which both of these promote, one of which is environmental protection.
