Because when something is always so good, why change it … we are back with a new issue of our Cumbre del Sol Magazine full of news and info!
Our magazine was first issued in 2017 and following the inevitable hiatus caused by the pandemic, we’re back again with more news and information than ever.
For more recent arrivals, and by way of a reminder for the neighbours who have been here for some time, we provide a recap of the wide range of services available at Cumbre del Sol: the Lady Elizabeth International School, Dreamsea Mediterranean glamping, La Cumbre restaurant, Pepe La Sal supermarket, Pure Wellness and Medical Center and Dr. Thomas Dobrucki to name just a few of them. This last service is in fact the subject of the next item in the magazine.
Doctor Dobrucki has been a resident of Cumbre del Sol since 2017 and he granted us a lovely interview in which he told us all about his personal life (what led him to choose Cumbre del Sol as his home) and his professional career (services available, languages spoken, treatments, experience…).
2022 is the first year that we have actually been able to feel free again, with life as it was pre-pandemic. And this is something that we really should celebrate! The events this year, namely Summer Party and the Belgian Fiesta were a huge success, meeting new people, reconnecting with friends and neighbours, forging friendships and above all, having a great time!
Not only that, but we also encourage a healthy life style and forming good habits and together with North Costa Blanca Pádel Club, we helped to organise the Summer Paddle Tournaments which were sponsored by VAPF.
One of the most special things about this edition of Cumbre del Sol magazine is that we have fulfilled the challenge that we set ourselves some time ago, which was to film a video showing the beauty of Costa Blanca Norte. From the charm of the area inland, the cuisine, and endless list of activities such as hiking, horse riding, water sports etc. In short, a reflection on the paradise we live in. Our video Life is your collection of moments will be presented shortly.
And of course! We had to provide a recap of the current status of our developments. In this issue we talk about one of the jewels in VAPF’s crown, Villa Veleta a villa in our Residencial Jazmines,. This individually designed villa is filled with light and the sea makes it presence felt throughout the house. There is also room to mention the Montecala Gardens apartments (Cumbre del Sol) and Golf Suites La Sella (Dénia). Before delivering the keys
We want to your new home to be perfect. That’s why before officially handing over the keys, the technician in charge of the home will visit to revise and check all of the rooms, installations, and household appliances thoroughly one by one, assuring that everything is working properly.
The Big Day
We provide you with one night’s accommodation to make your trip as comfortable as possible. On the day of handing over the keys, all useful information will be handed over to you too, as well as any other aspects needed for you to adapt as soon as possible to your new life:
- Instruction manual for the home and/or swimming pool.
- Manuals for electrical appliances and their corresponding guarantee certificates.
- Keys to the mailbox and the shed in which they are located.
- Emergency telephone operating manual for possible problems with electricity, water or gas.
- List of useful telephone numbers and TV channels.
- For apartments: statutes of the community, details of the president and administrator of the community.
- Contact and location of the notary’s office.
In addition to signing all the documentation for the direct debiting of taxes and services for your property, we take care of the management.
Other after-sales services
Key safekeeping
VAPF offers you a free key safekeeping service which consists of us keeping a copy of the keys so that, in the event of an emergency, and if you are unable to go to the property, we can come to your place. If you travel to Spain and you realise that you have left your keys behind in your country, we will keep a copy so that you can enter your home without any difficulty.
For your maximum satisfaction and peace of mind, the safekeeping service includes a history of who has had them at any given time.
Free one-year insurance
We will also give you and deliver the contract of an insurance policy for the building for a whole year.
We manage the services of your new home
So that you don’t have to worry, we will also take care of your electricity and water bills. We’ll also offer you the possibility of contracting the telephone and/or internet service. We’ll explain everything to you: what the service offers, fees, rates, calls… And, if you want to think about it in your time, we will leave you a brochure with all the updated information.
On the same day, the property will be checked again with you and an employee from the VAPF after-sales department. They will check that all these aspects are in order:
- Electrical supply and appliances
- Plumbing
- Furnishings
- Paintwork
- Heating and air conditioning in all rooms.
- Gas
- Home domotics
- Apps
- Sonos
- Video surveillance
- Swimming pool and exteriors
Take your time, if you notice any damage, it’s important that you let us know. An inspection visit will take place a few days later to deal with these issues and resolve them.
As we’ve said in this article, and as demonstrated throughout these 59 years of creating homes, we accompany and advise our clients throughout the entire process. After handing over the keys, you’ll have a VAPF contact person to discuss any type of problem or query related to your home.

It’s one of the paradises you’ll find in the Costa Blanca. Denia has the best of a large city, with many activities on offer and has all the benefits of being a traditional, coastal town. The weather in Denia
If there is one thing that characterises the towns and cities of the Costa Banca, it is its mild climate, and Denia does not disappoint. Mild temperatures in winter and warm temperatures in summer that you can spend on the beach or in the swimming pool of your new Golf Suites La Sella flat.
What’s more, this area of the Mediterranean coast enjoys more than 300 days of sun a year. Who can say no to such lovely, sunny days where any plan goes!
Denia – leading cuisine
If there’s anything that stands out about Denia, it’s the food. In 2015 it was actually declared by UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy. In this city, produce from the sea and from Valencian fields fuse together, creating unique dishes that are delicious and original to the region!
The most well-known dish is red prawns from Denia, recognised all over the world. This jewel in Valencia’s cuisine lives at the bottom of the sea and takes centre stage on tables at Christmas each December in Spain. What about you, have you tried them yet?
But these high quality products still need to be cooked and prepared well. And that’s what the 300 or so restaurants in Denia are for. The town is also the gastronomic cradle of Alicante. 5 of its restaurants are featured in the Michelin Guide. The most internationally renowned one belonging to chef Quique Dacosta, whose restaurant currently has three Michelin stars. Only ten other restaurants can claim so in Spain!
Activities in Denia
Finally, we can’t not talk about the namesake of our development in Denia. Golf is one of the favourite pastimes of the residents in this town. And the fact is that Denia has the biggest golf course in the Costa Blanca. With 27 holes, surrounded by pine forests and with the Montgó mountain as a backdrop, you are sure to become a fan in no time!
The sea and the port of Denia offer many water activities for the summer, while being close to nature and the mountains in the area will allow you to enjoy days out in the fresh air during the winter.
And, of course, you can enjoy all this from your flat in Golf Suites La Sella. A development just 15 minutes away by car from the town centre of Denia, where you can also enjoy the resort’s own services. A real luxury!
