Benissa Fair January 2010

From 16 to 31 January 2010, the “Fira i Porrat de Sant Antoni 2010” Fair in Benissa.

As is customary in the second fortnight of January, the Fair comes to Benissa municipality in the province of Alicante. This Fair has a long tradition in the municipality, and over the years has developed from an essential meeting for the region’s traders into a date with leisure and culture which is not to be missed.

Programme of events for the Fira i Porrat de Sant Antoni 2010 in Benissa:

- Official Opening of the Fair on Saturday 16 at 18:00h from the Town Hall, along with the opening of the “12th Rally Photographs” exhibition.

- 21st International Chess Open on Sunday 17 at 09:30h in the Taller D'Ivars Arts Centre.

- Wine and tapas tasting on Sunday 17 at 12:00 in Carrer Nou and tasting of local products by the Roundabout.

- Blessing of Animals on Sunday 17 at 13:00h at the main door of the Church.

- 3rd Benissa Trade Fair on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24, doors open at 10:00h.

- Market – Show of new and second-hand vehicles, motorbikes and farm machinery on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 from 10 a.m. onwards.

- Medieval Market open from Friday 29 to Sunday 31.

- 23rd Livestock Fair opening on Saturday 30 at 09:00hin the area set aside for this event at the end of Palmera Street and Dolores Piera Roundabout.

- Exhibition of Old and Classic vehicles on Sunday 31 at 10:30h in Nou Street, Plaza Rei Jaume I, San Pedro Street and Paseo Dolores Piera.

- Living Chess performance on Sunday 31 at 12:00 in Plaza Rei Jaume I.
