The Repsol Guide once again supports highest quality gastronomy with the 2009 Repsol Suns, the most prestigious Spanish gastronomy award with 30 years’ experience, conferred by the experts of the Spanish Gastronomy Academy and the ‘Cofradía de la Buena Mesa’ (the ‘Brotherhood of Fine Eating’) assisted by Gastronomy Academies in Autonomous Communities and restaurant inspectors.
There are 4 categories of Repsol Suns:
- Three Suns: best restaurants of the year..
- Two Suns: excellent quality cuisine.
- One Sun: excellent quality and variety of dishes.
- ‘R’, recommended restaurants: establishments of interest for their cuisine style, location, service and/or cellars.
Taken into account when awarding these prizes are the place, the municipality and the level of gastronomy of the area, in addition to value for money.
