State Fund for Local Investment in Benitachell municipality

On 22/01/09, 9 projects were approved for the Benitachell / Poble Nou de Benitatxell municipality by central government under the auspices of the State Fund for Local Investment.

Nine projects were awarded to the municipality of Benitachell for a total amount of 844,764.99€. The aim is to provide better services for residents of the municipality, and the projects cover works in the town centre and in its residential developments in terms of both environmental and infrastructure improvements.

Projects approved for Benitachell / Poble Nou de Benitatxell municipality:

1. Landscaping of green spaces in Los Molinos II residential development.
2. Enlargement of changing room area at municipal swimming pool.
3. Construction of pedestrian zone and refurbishment of services around Plaza de la Iglesia.
4. Construction of dry stone walls in Camino L’Abiar.
5. Conditioning, access and enlargement of municipal cemetery.
6. Refurbishment and construction of new road in Plaza Nueva area.
7. Colour treatment of concrete pavement on north entrance to Cumbre del Sol residential development.
8. Landscaping of green spaces in Los Molinos I residential development.
9. Improved access to Panoramic Viewpoint at the north entrance to Cumbre del Sol residential development.

The works have already started and the Town Council kindly asks residents to be patient about the inconvenience that they may cause.
