The weekend of 29 and 30 November in Teulada sees the celebration of fiestas in honour of the town’s patron saint Santa Catalina Mártir.
Once again in November, the fiestas in honour of Santa Catalina Martir, patron saint of Teulada, are celebrated. The fiestas are organised by the San Vicente Ferrer Fiestas Committee 2009.
A full weekend which combines the people’s fiesta with religious activities.
On Saturday 29 November, the main focus is on events in Teulada Town Hall Square where the traditional day of the “Medio Año de Quintadas” takes place, when people who share the same year of birth meet up, dressed in their particular outfits, and spend the day together in the square. There is music all day long, games for children, the midday meal for all residents and then music and partying.
On Sunday 30 November the religious ceremonies take place, the solemn Mass sung by the Teulada Choir in the Church of Santa Catalina at 12:00h and in the evening at 19:00h the procession in honour of the Patron Saint takes place.
The town has kept this custom alive and demonstrates its devotion to its Patron Saint and respect for its traditions.
