All Saints Fair has been celebrated since the year 1346 and has won numerous awards, among them the Bronze Medal for Tourism Merit. This year the Fair is being celebrated from 31 October to 2 November.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS FOR THE COCENTAINA 2008 ALL SAINTS FAIR:

Friday 31 October: the Fair officially begins.

21:00h. “DIMONIS”: show with special effects and fantastic staging. The three most violent demons of medieval times invade Cocentaina, there engaging in battle with the “Forces of Good”. In Plaza del Pla.
22:00h A NIGHT OF ROCK IN VALENCIA.

Saturday 1 November: All Saints’ Day.

09:00h Traditional fair breakfast organised by the Housewives’ Association. Performance by Cocentaina Dance Group.
12:00h Valencian handball competition, semi-finals in Cervantes Street.

Sunday 2 November: Day Three of the Fair.

12:00h. Valencian handball competition – Final.
12:00h. Exhibition of Horse Riding and Dressage by Peluca Riding School in Avenida del Ferrocarril.
16:00h. Exhibition of ‘Tir i Arrossegament’ draft horse pulling in Avenida del Ferrocarril.
21:00h. “DIMONIS”, new performance in Plaza del Pla.

The Fair takes place in different streets across Cocentaina depending on the type of event. There are a variety of activities, including a Children’s Fairground, an Animal Fair, Local Products Fair, Food Fair, Machinery and Vehicles Fair, Motorcycle Fair, Hawkers Fair, Medieval Market and a ‘Moorish Space’.
