13th Edition of the Classical Music Festival in Teulada Moraira from 7 to 28 August 2008.
Enjoying good classical music in August is now something you can do this summer. The cultural department of the Teulada Town Council has prepared a varied and attractive programme of music which aims to enrich the cultural tourism offered by Teulada-Moraira and neighbouring towns, since all the residents and visitors to these areas are invited to attend.
There is an original programme of four concerts each Thursday night in August, alternating between Teulada and Moraira. In Moraira, the event will take place in the Espai la Senieta and in Teulada in the Church of Santa Catalina. Different high quality chamber music ensembles will be playing and the programme will be varied, ranging from traditional music to the most avant-garde 21st century music, a varied palette of performances offering a trip through the history of music from the 18th to the 21st century.
- 7 August in the Church of Santa Catalina in Teulada. An original programme of music for harpsichord and organ at 21:00h.
- 14 August in the Espai La Senieta in Moraira. The Foster Family Percussion Ensemble will perform classical repertory pieces adapted to modern percussion instruments. Starts at 21:00h.
- 21 August in Teulada. Ausias March Trio, three young violin, violoncello and piano soloists.
- 28 August. A recital by the “Al Vent” brass quintet, an ensemble from our region who have been playing together for over 15 years.
Tickets are 10 € for each concert, or 30 € for all four concerts. Tickets can be bought in advance from the Municipal Cultural Centre in Teulada.
