The town of Javea / Xàbia has put together endless cultural activities for this summer 2008, open-air activities, culture and fun for all tastes, topping the Hill being the VII Edition of the Xàbia Jazz Festival.
The Xàbia Jazz Festival takes place from 4 to 8 August in the Nueva Plaza de la Constitución starting at 22:30h, with five de luxe concerts whose slogan is quality.

- Tuesday 5 August OLIVER JONES TRIO- TRIBUTE TO OSCAR PETERSON.
- Wednesday 6 August ANN HAPTON CALLAWAY- THE VOICE AND THE BIG BAND.
- Thursday 7 August XIMO TEBAR BAND- ERIK SATIE PROJECT.
- Friday 8 August ESBJÖRN SVENSSON TRIO.
A full week for lovers of good jazz. But it doesn’t end here, Javea has a great deal more to offer:
- Exhibition of paintings by ANTONIO MIRO in the Casa de Tena during the month of August.
- Theatre in the Paseo del Puerto at 22:00, with the play SEXO MENTIRAS Y TOMATES ENVENENADOS (SEX LIES AND POISONED TOMATOES) on Saturday 9 August performed by the Yorick Teatro company, and on Thursday 14 August the Siete Comediantes company will perform LAS CORSARIAS.
