The US magazine “Wine Spectator”, specialised in the world of wine, has published a list that ranks all the wines worthy of being included in the best wines of 2007.
The wines are graded from 85 to 100, the first of the Spanish being Torre Muga 2005 La Rioja, occupying rank 11 in the final classification, followed by Lan 2004 La Rioja, Pago de los Capellanes 2004 Ribera del Duero, Castro de Valtuille 2004 Del Bierzo, Tres Picos 2005 Campo de Borja and Pétalos 2005 Del Bierzo.
This is wonderful news for Spain in general and also for our province of Alicante, which produces excellent wines that are great value for money.
Take for example the winery of Enrique Mendoza in Alfáz del Pi or the Marina Alta white from the winery Bocopa.
