David Ferrer, the tennis player from Javea, has won his first reward for his on- court battles by making it to the US Open semi-finals.

We send our congratulations to tennis player David Ferrer, Javea’s international player. He may not be quite as talented as some others, nor have the same impact, but he is always there, not making a show and sparing no energy.

Twenty-five years old, he has gained his prize by knocking Argentine Chela out of the tournament in three sets.
He has considerable mental resistance and, as best “stayer” in the tournament, has made it to the Grand Slam semi-finals.
